Winsted, CT – December 14, 2021 – The Center for Workforce Development at Northwestern Connecticut Community College is offering a Discover Bitcoin Seminar on January 18 and 20, 2022, from 6:30pm-8:30pm EST. The cost for the seminar is $10 and will be held virtually via WebEx.

This seminar will cover important topics pertaining to understanding Bitcoin cryptocurrency in general. Topics will include: What is Bitcoin; What is a distributed ledger; How does the blockchain work; How to buy Bitcoin; Understanding smart contracts; Avoiding crypto wallet scams; and other applications of the blockchain.

In addition to learning about Bitcoin and participating in a robust Q&A, attendees will be given a chance to interact with Bitcoin and the Lightning Network. If you are interested in engaging with the Bitcoin network with seminar participants, please download a wallet app on your phone. Some options to choose from, include: Wallet of Satoshi, Muun wallet, BlueWallet, Swan Bitcoin, or Cash App.
