Northwestern’s Cultural Committee Presents Drumming Circle

Winsted, CT – CT State Northwestern will be hosting a drumming circle on Thursday, November 16, 2:30 p.m. in the Greenwoods Hall Multipurpose Room, 119 North Main Street, Winsted. The event is free and open to the public. Refreshments will be provided.

Michelle Butler of Joyful Distractions will host and lead more than fifteen djembe drummers and other percussion instruments during the event. Attendees are welcome to watch or participate: Drums will be available and there is no experience needed.

Drumming is believed to promote physical healing, boost the immune system, and release emotional trauma.

The event is sponsored by the Northwestern Cultural Committee, which is generously funded by the Northwestern Community College Foundation.
