Winsted – The Entrepreneurial Center at Northwestern Connecticut Community College will offer a new workshop: Pro Tips for Blogging and WordPress Site Design on Wednesday, March 24, and Thursday, March 25, 2021; from 6 to 7:30 p.m. The two-night workshop is free and open to the public although registration is required, as well as the following prerequisite: Attendees must have a self-hosted WordPress domain name purchased.

Pro Tips for Blogging and WordPress Site Design will be taught by full-time blogger, Diane Ferreira, and will focus on teaching bloggers the next steps for their websites; whether they are beginners who need to move forward, or more experienced bloggers ready to monetize and earn an income. Topics will include how to properly set up a theme, the use of plugins, using Search Engine Optimization (SEO) on a post, and the use of WordPress.

This will be a working session. Participants must have a self-hosted WordPress site with a domain name, which is ready to use. Sites must be hosted through a hosting company: Free WordPress sites will not be adequate for this workshop. Participants can have a blog post written that will be used in class to enter into WordPress.
