WINSTED, CT – August 24, 2021 – In its recently released report, 2021’s Best & Worst Community Colleges, the personal finance website WalletHub, has again rated Northwestern Connecticut Community College as the top ranked Community College in Connecticut, for the sixth consecutive year.   Northwestern Connecticut Community College in Winsted is also ranked as the 20th best community college in the country.

In addition, Wallethub.com conducted a state-level analysis and produced a listing of 2021’s States with the Best & Worst Community College Systems; the Connecticut Community College System, was ranked sixth in the nation on that list.

In order to determine the best community colleges in the U.S., WalletHub’s analysts compared more than 650 selected community colleges and evaluated them across 19 key indicators of cost and quality. Their data set ranged from the cost of in-state tuition and fees to student-faculty ratio, and graduation rate.

Several Connecticut Community Colleges are ranked among the best in the country. Naugatuck Valley Community College in Waterbury ranked 34th, Manchester Community College was 48th, and Capital Community College in Hartford was 55th.
