CT State Northwestern Hosts Red Cross Community Blood Drive

Winsted, CT – CT State Community College Northwestern is hosting an American Red Cross community blood drive on Thursday, October 24 from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. in the Greenwoods Hall first floor multipurpose room, 119 North Main Street, Winsted. Donors with all blood types are needed.

According to the American Red Cross, someone in the United States needs blood every two seconds. Since blood is a perishable product that can only come from volunteer blood donors, blood products must be constantly replenished. The Red Cross provides about forty percent of our nation’s blood and blood components, all from generous volunteer donors.
