EMT’s are trained to render immediate care for the sick and injured. The job is multifaceted and presents many challenges in a variety of emergency situations. EMT’s work both with ambulance services and in a hospital emergency room setting. This course is excellent for those considering careers in the fire, police, and security sectors, as well as for careers as a physician’s assistant.

Ten hours of clinical training and eight hours of practicum experiential learning are included as a mandatory part of the EMT program and are scheduled during non-classroom hours. Students also have the option to include seventeen hours of real-time ambulance calls as an observer to their training.

All students must be at least eighteen years old and have a high school diploma or equivalent. Students will need internet access and immunizations are required for the clinical portion of the course.
