Central Sterile Processing

Central Sterile Processing Technicians (CSPT) are responsible for packaging surgical instruments in hospitals, medical offices, surgical centers, and clinics. CSPTs are highly needed healthcare professionals who improve the quality of patient care by minimizing infection rates. This program includes 80 hours of classroom time and clinical/skills experience online  covering decontamination and sterilization processing, anatomy and physiology, microbiology infection control, and identification of surgical instruments. This program includes 60 hours of classroom time covering decontamination and sterilization processing, anatomy and physiology, microbiology infection control, and identification of surgical instruments. Students will also be required to complete 20 hours of clinical/skills experience on-ground.

Program Pre-requisites:
18 years old required for national exam

$1,999 *Financial Assistance is available for those who qualify

Class Schedule:

January 15, 2024-February 17, 2024

This class meets online through our Blackboard learning management system. Students will complete asynchronous assignments, discussion boards, and quizzes. There are three opportunities to participate in hands-on classroom instruction during the course.
