NCCC Students from Team Success Scholars Program Attend Winter Retreat with MOMIX Dance Troupe

WINSTED, CT – January 12, 2017 -  Northwestern Connecticut Community College’s Team Success Scholars students will be attending the final dress rehearsal and talk-back lecture with MOMIX, the international dancer-illusionist troupe on Friday, January 13, 2017. This event is part of a 3-credit winter intersession course - Introduction to Acting - offered collaboratively by NCCC and the Warner Theater.

Team Success Scholars is a scholarship program offered to full-time NCCC students and offers mentoring, internships, financial assistance, and leadership opportunities throughout their NCCC experience. Students in this close-knit cohort are involved with numerous college and community activities, attend weekly workshops on academic and life skills development, attend conferences and college tours, and are encouraged to seek career-focused internships off campus. Once a student enters the need-based program, she/he continues in the program until they graduate from Northwestern. The Team Success Scholars are also currently working on service learning projects. The program currently has 32 students. This federally funded program is coordinated through Northwest Regional Workforce Investment Board (NRWIB).

On Saturday, January 14, 2017 at 8:00 pm and Sunday, January 15, 2017 at 2:00 pm, the Warner Theatre, in Torrington, CT will once again welcome the irrepressible Moses Pendleton and the internationally acclaimed dancer-illusionists troupe, MOMIX.
